Short description: The vessel is to operate between Eastern Norway to Western Norway (750-1200nm range) using emission-free green hydrogen in the combination with rotor sails. BeHydro will deliver the hydrogen powered combustion engine. Statkraft and Skagerak Energi have been chosen as suppliers of green hydrogen. The winning concept involves container swapping with compressed hydrogen. The solution is flexible and can be used both for transport and other purposes. The plan is to be ready for an investment decision by the summer of 2022 in order to start deliveries in late 2023.
